TREATMENT OF WARTS AND MOLES

TREATMENT OF common WART AND MOLE conditions

Warts are non-cancerous growths that can develop and may differ depending on which area of the body it affects. They most commonly grow on hands/fingers but can grow on other areas as well.

Warts may be contagious and transmitted through skin-to-skin contact. They may even spread to other parts of your own body. For most that get warts, typically they are harmless and only require cosmetic treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Causes Warts?

Warts are caused by contact with someone who has Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Warts typically form when a cut on the skin is infected with HPV. But can sometimes form on unbroken and healthy skin as well.

Those most prone to getting them are people who have a weakened immune system. As well as those who pick or bite their hands/fingers or nails are more likely to develop warts because of broken skin and the number of things we commonly touch.

How are they Treated?

In minor cases, they can be treated with products such as salicylic acid. In some cases, they may even go away by themselves. Typically, the more severe cases warrant an appointment. If yours are happening because you are immunocompromised, you may be prescribed medication to help fight off infection.
